Recent Acquisitions Exhibition Opens at National Museum of Decorative Arts

Yesterday I attended the official opening of this new exhibition at the museum. After a talk by the director, and by some members of the Junta de Calificación (the board that evaluates the desirability of items that become available and may be purchased with public money), we all went up to view the exhibits. These are some of the more than seven thousand pieces acquired or which were donated to the museum over the years since the turn of the millennium.

The exhibition occupies the first floor of the museum. It's at calle Montalbán 12 (just behind the Ayuntamiento on the Plaza de Cibeles (metro Banco de España):
